Devan Wyson, CFP®, MSFS
Founder/CEO

Devan Wyson spent 15 years in the financial services industry before he founded Forthright Partners™. As a Las Vegas native, he began his career at the local office of a global insurance company. While there, he learned the struggles of operating in a corporate environment in which answering to shareholders outweighed the needs of his clients. From there, he went on to serve as Director of Financial Planning for a Utah-based advisory firm and, more recently, Vice President at NSB Wealth Advisors. Throughout Devan’s career, he’s been asked to speak at various venues on the topic of financial literacy, teaching principles to servicemen and women of the Armed Forces, college-aged and high school students, as well as local church groups. Devan is passionate about personal financial literacy and believes that a large portion of the problems we face as a country stem from a lack of knowledge and discipline in this area.

Devan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance from Regis University and a Master’s in Financial Planning from The American College of Financial Services. Devan is also a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, which is broadly accepted as the most comprehensive and widely respected designation in the financial services industry. Aside from rigorous curriculum, a 10-hour board style exam, and continuing education requirements, CFP® certificants are subject to ongoing supervision to ensure fiduciary conduct.

Devan and his wife, Rachel, have been married since 2008 and have four lovely children. When they aren’t working, Devan and Rachel enjoy spending time with their children, serving in their church, and taking weekend trips around the country.

CFP®, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, are certification marks owned by Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc. These marks are awarded to individuals who successfully complete the CFP Board’s initial and ongoing certification requirements.
